General-Thomsen Barracks – Building 50
Design, implementation of design as well as construction supervision for the renovation of an accommodation building for teams of the German military in the city of Stadum, in the area of Nordfriesland. The building was completely gutted and renovated and then the entire technology installed. Since the accommodation is in part unused, a system was developed through the use of “smart fixtures“ guaranteeing drinking water hygiene by simulating normal extraction. The warm water heating is carried out with a memory loading system to minimize the storage content. All accesses of the accommodation rooms were equipped with autonomous access control. This was implemented with a door cylinder for contact free cards. Also, the living quarters and their escape and rescue routes are monitored by smoke detectors. For this purpose a wired fire alarm system was used.
