University of Hamburg Renovation of the Moller Street Villa and Sports Park
The described project was divided into two phases which involved the complete renovation of the villa and the energy-related modernisation of the sports park.
The Villa was built in 1914. The building was last renovated in 1942 and provided with an extension building for use as a seminar house. Both the building itself and the building technology were obsolete and no longer met the minimum standards for today’s requirements.
Sports Park: After a preliminary investigation, the following measures were executed: Renovation of the heating and hot water systems using solar technology. We also optimized the complete lighting system in the building. We renovated/transformed the locker room house and renovated the complete electrical engineering including lightning protection, as well as the installation of a danger alarm system.
