Renovation of the IDA Ehre School, Hamburg
The school building in the Bogen Street is a solid construction by Albert Erbe from 1911 with a listed/protected brick facade. It is divided into two building parts, arranged around a courtyard. A gym and auditorium are integrated into the building. The objective of the planned project was a complete overhaul of the entire school, taking into account the conservation requirements. The overhaul of the building was divided into two stages, the basement with the gymnasium and the four stories above. The heating network, drinking water supply and the power supply were completely renewed. The night cooling necessary for summer heat protection, as well as the minimum air exchange for structural moisture protection is implemented with machine-controlled skylights.
